The proceeds will go toward the restoration of the lobby of the historic Carnegie facility. The library plans to begin work on painting and restoring the dome and the columns, as well as redesigning the front entryway to be more energy-efficient and historically accurate.
Raffle baskets will be displayed with tickets for sale at the Library from Tuesday, August 26th - Saturday, September 27th. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
Artwork includes stained glass, watercolors, woodwork, and photographs. There are also two collections of books by local authors and a culinary package with gift certificates from local restaurants. Art will be displayed in the windows of the storefront at 34 N. Main St. (near the Open Window) beginning on August 29th. Minimum bids will start at 60% of the value of the work. Auction items can be bid on at the brunch, or a sealed bid can be placed at the library for those who cannot attend.
